POLICY on Event Submission

Why Submit an Event

We offer the Jazz and Wine Event Calendar as a service to visitors, members and Subscribers. We aim to ensure that people are made aware of opportunities and given the chance to participate in events where they can enjoy and learn first-hand about jazz, food and wine. Events include festivals and other events hosted by recognized or organizations of an on-going nature.

Who

Anyone can submit events under Jazz or Wine to our Calendar in each area. Major events of potential interest to all readers will be included in the calendar at the editors’ discretion.

Commercial or local events are numerous. Therefore, only submissions from paid Subscribers will be considered for inclusion in the calendar. Not all events, however, are necessarily accepted for publication. Again, it is to our editors’ discretion about those events that appear and those that don’t appear.

Frequency

Subscribers are allowed to submit up to one event every quarter (four per year) for possible inclusion in the calendar. If an organization has more events that it would like to pulicize then we suggest that more than one member subscribe to jazzwines.com. We offer group discounts on subscriptions through use of a Partner Code, if more than 24 people join for any one group.

Cost

Given that event submission is generally considered a privilege for Subscribers, the cost for submission of 1-4 events is the cost of Subscription.

Educational Events

Any event welcoming 25 or more people, that is open to the public, and that is of an educational nature, may be included in the Jazz or Wine calendar. Again, the sole discretion for inclusion is that of the editors.

Editors’ Discretion

Jazz and Wine have lived together as an idea for a very long time. There are so many festivals and events in each realm and that cross from jazz into wine and vice versa with so many organizations wanting to invite people to their event, that we realized we can not yet handle all events all the time from everyone everywhere, regardless of the motivation for holding an event. Therefore, we have set the policies and guidelines above and have given editors discretion. We want to ensure that jazzwines.com offers a credible and high quality listing, not just an unlimited or commercially motivated collection of links.
