WINE RATINGS
Why rate wines?
Ratings and related comments are one way for JazzWines.com subscribers to share good recommendations based on real experience for mutual benefit with others. We recognize and respect the 100-point scale used by many critics. And we pay heed to those critics and their ratings by showing an average of their score for wines when we know it.
We also want to celebrate the personal experience and use ratings as a way for people to reflect on the quality and nature of their own experience.
Overall, JazzWines.com intends to provide services that shorten the time and distance for people to discover and access a great quality of life. That often includes tasteful experiences involving delightful products.
Who rates wines?
Subscribers to JazzWines.com are given opportunity to rate wines. Each subscriber can provide one rating and set of comments for each wine shown. If their rating or comments for that wine change, then their most recent rating and set of comments replace their earlier contribution.
How do I rate wines?
Make sure that you've joined JazzWines.com and that you've subscribed to the Guide and logged into the site. If you find a wine you'd like to rate and comment on, then you'll be given the opportunity to provide one rating and set of comments per wine. If, over time, your rating changes then you can rate the same one again and make another set of comments. But you are given one opportunity per wine, so your most recent rating and comments will replace your earlier rating.
When I rate a wine, what happens to my answers?
You ratings are added to the overall set of ratings if you've not rated the wine before. And your ratings will replace your last rating, if you are rating a wine for the second time. There is a delay between the time you rate a wine and the time that your ratings are activated as part of the overall ratings pool so that JazzWines.com can better ensure that we activate quality ratings from subscribers who respect the service.
