I had the great pleasure of seeing Max Roach play with a group in Toronto 15-20 years ago. Admittedly, I can’t remember the date or full group, just his overwhelming ability to play the drums.
Didn’t realize that he was part of the Massey Hall concert more than a half century ago, until now.

I had to go back and listen to that concert again, it’s really great.
