Featuring the piano-playing talents of Steinway artist from New York, Lenore Raphael and the first public pouring of Jazz Wines The Shiraz in Canada, jazzwines.com is proud to welcome to our home town, Toronto, the 35’th Annual Conference of the International Association for Jazz Education (IAJE).

JK Wine Bar will open up it’s side room as a jazzwines.com lounge to feature Lenore Raphael and group playing a tribute to her long-time inspiration, Oscar Peterson. For these two evenings, Lenore will be joined by Ken Walker on bass and Rudy Lawless on drums. In addition, a very special guest vocalist, Denise Thimes, will join Lenore for one set during the opening Wednesday night performances.

The jazzwines.com lounge at Jamie Kennedy’s Wine Bar is open for lunch, dinner and evening relaxation. It is within easy walking distance of the IAJE Conference center at the Royal York Hotel so that artists, educators and students have a welcoming destination when they care to stretch their legs, grab a bite to eat or share time with friends in and around the many great programs of the conference.
