Origins : Adelaide Plains
About
Directly north of the city of Adelaide, the Adelaide Plains Region is on the Gulf St. Vincent at the foot hills of the Mount Lofty Ranges. The maritime climate gives warm to hot summers and mild, wet winters, which paired with plenty of sunlight yields intensely flavoured, richly colored fruit. The most common soil is the red-brown loamy sands with alkaline subsoil and free limestone at deeper levels.
