About
Bendigo Region in Central Victoria is one of Victoria’s premium wine producing areas. The terrain includes undulating alluvial plains, volcanic beds and two isolated mountains in the south. The soils range from brownish loam to clay loam over stony clay base. High soil acidic and overall lack of water means the tendency of low yields. This likely is the cause for the regions high quality Shiraz and Cabernet.
