Origins : Currency Creek

 
 

About

Currency Creek is a relatively new region in the Fleurieu Wine Zone in South Australia, planted as recently as 1969.  There are just a small number of wineries planting just under 700 ha, and success is encouraging further growth in the region, The dominant terrain is rolling sandy slopes overlaying friable crackling clay, with strong moderating maritime influences.
