Origins : Granite Belt
About
Located on the western spine of the Great Dividing Range, Granite Belt is a region in the Queensland Zone. The Granite Belt is the northen end of the New England Table Land a granite intrusion, which adds a speckle and permeabilty to the soil. The climate is very unique to the region including spring frosts, cold nights, high humity, peak summer temperatures, with sub-tropical monsoon influences. The major varietals include Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Semillon.
