Origins : Grampians
About
The Grampians region on the fringes of the Great Dividing Range in the Western Victoria Zone. The region is itself not high, but instead it is surrounded by mountains, wedged between the Grampians, Pyrenees and the Serra Range. The cool climate and low heat summation, is offset by plenty of growing season sunshine hours and moderate humidity. A wide range of terrain gives rise to significant mesoclimates, offering vast variation in plantings. Historically known as Australia’s sparkling wine region, the Grampian region also produces fine Shiraz, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc.
