Origins : Heathcote
About
Heathcote is a Region in the Central Victoria wine Zone north of Melbourne and has a reputation for some of the world’s finest Shiraz. A warm climate, tempered by cool southerly winds is ideal for elegant fruity wines with firm tannins.
Many of the area’s vineyards are planted at the foot of the Mt Camel Range where there is reliable rainfall and rich red soil. Other varietals include Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier and Riesling.
