Origins : Kangaroo Island
About
Kangaroo Island, the third largest island off the coast of Australia, was declared a wine Region of the Fleurieu Zone in 2000. The maritime climate brings cool summers and warm winters, offering a long growing season. Gentle slopes with soils varying from alkaline sands, loams and clays overlaying limestone provide favourable conditions for red wines, most notably Cabernet Sauvignon.
