Origins : Mudgee
About
The most northerly region of the Central Ranges Wine Zone, Mudgee is from the Aboriginal name meaning Nest in the Hills. The region is situated on smaller hills and valleys, rimmed by the outer, steeper hills of the Great Dividing Range. This warm, dry region has brownish, slightly acidic loam or sandy loam over clay subsoil.
