Origins : Orange
About
Orange is a Wine Region, centred on the slopes of Mount Canobolas, in the Central Ranges Zone of New South Wales. The elevation is a major factor in both climate and terrain, responsible for mild to warm days and cool nights, as well as a range of soil influenced by the variable rocky and volcanic history of the mountain. Soil types include deep red clay derived from basalt, clay loams with volcanic ash, clay loam over medium clay and shale and patches of terra rossa over limestone.
