About
Southern Flinders Ranges is a new wine region in South Australia emerging over the last 20 years. It is located in between and is geologically similar to, the Clare Valley region and the Barossa Valley region. Despite a northerly situation, the climate is warm and dry with moderating influences from the ocean to the south-west. Soils include deep sandy loams to more shallow stony loams on the slopes.
