Origins : Swan District
About
First planted in 1829, Swan District is located just north of Perth along the coast of Western Australia. The Swan District has flat alluvial plains, with deep sandy loams. Despite the region’s hot Mediterranian climate, high sunshine hours, low summer rainfall and low relative humidity, the saving sea breeze provides for a protective moderating effect. The region produces full-flavored white wines notably Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay.
