Varietal : Barbera
About Barbera
Barbera is a historic red wine grape from Piedmont, Italy, where it thrives in a warm, sunny climate. This prolific grape produces wine in purple in color, low in tannins and high in acidity.
When young, Barbera offers a refreshing, pleasant wine, with a fruity aroma of fresh red and black berries with notes of cherries, raspberries and blueberries. Barbera can also deliver intense wines that benefit from ageing in oak, adding complexity and longevity with hints of vanilla and “toast”.
