About Chenin Blanc
Chenin Blanc is a white wine grape grown mostly in South Africa and the Anjou region of France. The tough skinned, acidic grape grows well in cool, sunny climates, and is perfect for producing excellent aged, late harvest ice wines. Chenin Blanc can also be served as a young dry wine —a pleasant, light and acidic wine, often with overtones of grass or green apples.
In South Africa, Chenin Blanc accounts for around 30 percent of the country’s vines.
