About Muscat
Muscat is an ancient, versatile grape that can be used to produce wine, brandy, juice, raisin or it can be consumed simply as grapes. Muscat is used in both dry and sweet fortified wines, offering a luscious texture and a strong floral aroma.
There are many varieties of the fortified sweet Muscat wines produced around the world under a variety of names including in Italy where it is is known as Moscato, and in Spain where it is called Moscatel. Muscat is the grape used to produce the popular Asti Spumante, a sweet sparkling wine from Italy.
