Varietal : Traminer
About Traminer
Traminer, a relative of Gewurtztraminer, is a highly aromatic dry white wine grape. Found in Italy since the Middle Ages, and often associated with Germany, Traminer thrives in cooler climates producing wines straw to light gold in colour. Aromas reveal pungent floral fragrances of violets, rose, lavender, perfume, lychee, lime, and passionfruit.
Botrytis-affectd and Late Harvest versions can yield excellent sweeter wines.
